Girls' Day at the lake

My last week in Bishkek was busy and stressful trying to fit everything in - spending time with friends before the final goodbye, finding some quality time for Josh (he will stay in Bishkek until the end of July), showing Bud and Ashley more highlights of Bishkek, and - somewhere squeezed in between - trying to pack, clean, and sort.

The day after our Arslanbob trip, Misha went to school, and Josh and Bud decided to hit the banya again. As for the girls,  Alesia invited Ashley, Kulia, and me to a Girls' Day on the lake. (Sebby accompanied us because he had stayed home from school.) The weather was warm and sunny, the company was great, and the surrounding nature was beautiful. On the agenda: a picnic of light snacks, chocolate, and wine; cartwheels in the grass; wading in the river; and climbing trees. In short, a perfect girls' day. On to the photos:

Ashley, Kulia, Alesia, and Sebby enjoy the picnic.

Alesia was the only graceful one among us!
The rest of us had Sebby's form ...

Kulia and I cool our feet. My mom would love this river!

Sebby discovered a burrow of cute, furry puppies.
